Hello! I am looking forward to seeing all of you next week! The first day of school is Thursday, September 7, 2023.
By now you should have received a Bloomz letter from your child’s teacher, explaining the protocol for first day. If you have not, please check your email for an invitation to join Bloomz, download the app, and you are all set to communicate with the teacher. If you have not, please email me and I will forward to the teacher.
Pre-K and 3K families will have a staggered, shortened schedule for the first two days.
Beginning Monday, Sept 11, 2023,
the school day for all students will be from 8:30am -2:50pm

I will be hosting a Welcome Breakfast for New Parents on Thursday September 7, 2023 and Friday September 8, 2023 from 8:45 am to 10:30 am on Tar Beach.
The terrace between the 1st and 2nd Floors (stairwells next to the Security Desk)
Please come… I know you will have questions… and a little separation anxiety?
You can meet other new parents and some seasoned ones, who will help you become a part of our community!

Returning CWS Families!
Please get a head start (so I don’t have to pester you!) Please fill out the lunch form for School Foods. You do not need to apply for your child to receive meals. However, we do ask families to complete Family Income Inquiry Form, which helps schools receive money for their programs.

Have you set up your child’s NYCSA (New York City School Account)?
If so, please check to make sure that your password works and that you can access your child’s grades, attendance and state test scores for Grades 3,4,5. It’s an important tool for parents.
