Happy Friday, I hope you are doing well on this day off from school.
We will be back for five full days next week, and the following week we will have a half-day on Wednesday, November 23 and then no school on Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25.
The weather has been rapidly changing and I encourage you to have your child dress in layers, as the school building can get warm with the heat turned on. We will continue to have outside drop-off in the yard unless there is rain/snow. On very cold days please ensure your child has sufficient winter gear on – coats, gloves, and scarves – and that every item is labeled with their name. If your child does not want to run and play outside before school starts you can drop them off at 8:25 for teacher pickup at 8:30.
We have had a lot of illness and many, many documented cases of Flu among our students in the past week. Students who have flu-like symptoms but test negative for COVID should not return to school until they are feeling better, and they must wear a mask for 10 days from the beginning of their symptoms. If they do not bring their own mask, we will provide masks to students who have been absent for illness and we appreciate your support in following this DOE policy and helping us keep our community safe and healthy.
As we begin to offer tours for PreK and Kindergarten admissions, we appreciate you spreading the word about CWS! Our admissions page has all the important information including tour registration, details on our curriculum, and more about our school. Thank you in advance for sharing your CWS experiences with other parents!
