Dear Families,

This week’s update comes early with such a short week. Earlier this week each student took home six COVID tests. Please test your child on the Sunday and Monday morning before returning to school. As always, please do not send your sick child to school. If your child is sick and you need guidance on when they can return to school, please contact me via Bloomz.

On Monday we had lice checks provided by Comb and Cure. At CWS this service is done a few times a year in accordance with the DOE’s “no head lice” policy. We have used this service the past few years with positive results and feedback. I am pleased to share that no head lice was found in the school during yesterday’s check. If you have questions about this you can reach out to me directly.

On Thursday, December 1 we will continue our CWS tradition of participating in World AIDS Day with a brief march in the neighborhood. This will begin after morning drop-off and families are welcome to join us. We will send more details next week.

I hope you will join us next Friday for the PTA’s Holiday Bazaar. This will be setup in the lobby from 7:30am-4:00pm and you can shop for fun holiday gifts as well as purchase breakfast, lunch (for adults only), and snacks at the All Day Café. This is a great fundraiser and community event and I hope to see you there. For details please contact Pritsana at pritsanak@gmail.com and Kyle at kylehhepp@gmail.com

I wish you peace and restfulness during the break, and look forward to seeing you on Monday, November 28.

Warmly,

Maria
