Dear Families,

I hope you’re staying warm and dry on this snowy day. Congratulations to our students who performed last night at part one of our Honoring the Dream celebration! Students in Suma, Elyssa & Kimberly, Davon, Ally & Shelby, Molly & Ava, Scott, and Chairin’s classes performed and did a beautiful job. Bravo! It is remarkable to watch our students celebrate and live the ideals set out by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Part two of our celebration will be next Thursday, January 25 at 5:30pm and these classes will perform: Helen, Kiara, Jess & Louise, Susan & Jeanette, Jeff, Miriam, Taylor & Gabby, and Carlos & Ashita.

There have been dozens of confirmed cases of COVID and flu amongst our students and teachers this last week. If your child is sick, they should stay home until they’re feeling better and have been fever-free for 24 hours. Please let your child’s teacher know if they will be absent due to illness. Masks are always welcome to be worn by anyone! You can request a COVID-19 rapid test kit from your child’s teacher as needed.

Mark your calendars:

  • Thursday, January 25 at 5:30pm – Honoring the Dream: Helen, Kiara, Jess & Louise, Susan & Jeanette, Jeff, Miriam, Taylor & Gabby, Carlos & Ashita
  • Wednesday, January 31 – Half-Day professional development, all students are dismissed at 11:30am
  • Friday, February 2 – Make-up and sibling photo day, advanced sign up required here
  • Monday, February 19 – Friday, February 23 – No School, Mid-Winter Break

Warmly,
Maria
