Happy Friday! Thank you to the seven classes who presented at last night’s part one of Honoring the Dream! It was a wonderful evening.
Also thanks to Jeff’s class and Aliceyn and Ally’s class for leading community meeting this morning, along with some of our fifth grade student activists.
As a reminder, this Monday, January 23 is a half-day with noon 12pm pickup for all students for teacher professional development; there are no clubs on Monday.
We look forward to next Thursday’s part two of Honoring the Dream on January 26, which will feature the classes of: Suma & Andrea, Jess & Louise, Susan & Jesslyn, Davon, Taylor & Kiara, Miriam, and Jessica & Luis. The show will start at 5:30pm, and doors will open at 5:15pm – all performing students should arrive by 5:20pm. Due to space constraints we can only welcome families who students are performing that night. Proof of COVID-19 vaccine for all visitors must be shown at the door.
This week our two-month yoga session started for half of our students and the other half will begin later in March. This is in addition to gym class. We are grateful to finally be able to use the newly renovated gym on the fourth floor when weather does not allow us to be outside. To protect the floors, only sneakers or socks are allowed in the gym – boots, heels, etc will need to be removed before walking on the gym floor.
Please check the lobby lost and found for any items your child(ren) may have misplaced. It is overflowing with sweaters, jackets, and water bottles.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend.
