Note: On Monday, October 13 there is no school.
Happy Friday! Today was a short day, but it was a great to end the week – this morning Carlos and Ava’s class hosted community meeting. It is wonderful to have the whole school together, and caregivers are welcome to join us, whether we are meeting in the yard or auditorium.
This week Joyce sent home reminders in backpacks for students whose families have not yet completed the “lunch” form – regardless of if your student eats lunch at school and/or your family’s income or citizenship status, we need 100% completion on these “lunch” forms. This is how the city, state, and federal governments determine funds assigned to our school. The only way to complete this form is via the MySchoolsApp.
Original Works is a fundraising program that has been historically successful at CWS. Children make artwork in the classroom, and families can purchase products with the artwork. Proceeds are donated to our PTA. Be on the lookout for the packets in backpacks by today. If you would like to place an Original Works order, the entire completed order form, payment and artwork are due back to your child’s teacher in the provided sleeve by Friday October 17. Now that cooler Fall weather is here, please ensure your child’s sweaters are labeled with their names. The same goes for water bottles, lunch boxes, etc. This will help facilitate their return should they be accidentally left around the school building.
