Happy Friday! As the air turns cooler, please ensure your child wears layers so they can remove them as necessary. All sweaters should be labeled with your child’s name.
Next Friday, October 27 is Costume Day – this is the monthly schoolwide dress up day to support the 5th grade trip to Washington, DC. Costumes are not required, but if your child would like to dress in a costume this October, this is their chance. Costumes may not be scary/violent/bloody, costume masks may not cover the full face, and no toy weapons of any kind are allowed. If you would like to support the 5th grade, you can send $2 in cash with your child, however this is not required in order to participate in costume day. *Students will not be able to wear costumes to school on Halloween, so please, if they would like to wear a costume, next Friday is their chance to do so.
If you would like to participate in the PTA’s Original Works fundraiser, please send back your student’s artwork, completed order form, and payment to their classroom teacher by this Monday, October 23.
We continue to have many reports of illnesses among students. We are reminding students to wash their hands before eating, cover their coughs with their arm, and other best hygiene practices. If your student is ill, please consider keeping them at home until they feel better so as to not spread illness. Medical absences are excused.
