Happy Friday! We had a great Community Meeting this morning hosted by Davon’s class!
The weather looks wonderful this weekend and I hope you’ll join us tomorrow at the Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 25 from 11am-3pm in the schoolyard. This is a fun day of activities for families hosted by the PTA.
Please note that next Wednesday, October 29 is picture day! All students will have their pictures taken and then you will be able to view electronic proofs to decide if you would like to buy any. This is a great fundraising opportunity from our PTA.
On Friday, October 31 we will have our monthly dress up day with a costume theme – this is the monthly schoolwide dress up day to support the 5th grade trip to Washington, DC. Costumes are not required, but if your child would like to dress in a costume this fall, this is their chance. Costumes may not be scary/violent/bloody (no fake blood), costume or ski masks may not cover the face, and no toy weapons or inflatables of any kind are allowed. Costumes must also be comfortable to be walked in and sat in all day, or please have your child wear their regular clothes underneath their costume if they choose to remove it. If you would like to support the 5th grade, you can send $2 in cash with your child, however this is not required in order to participate in costume day.
Coming up soon are our first family conferences of the year – please be sure your student attends your conference with you. This is an opportunity to partner with your child and their teacher(s) to set goals for the school year. Teachers will be communicating with families with Bloomz to sign up for a specific conference time. To support conferences, Thursday, November 6 will be half-day with 11:30am pickup for all students.
We have begun offering school tours during the school day to potential new families. If you know of families who have children looking for 3k, PreK, and/or Kindergarten seats for Fall 2026, please encourage them to join us for a tour. Dates, times, and sign-up links are available through our admissions page.
