Dear Families,

There is no school next Tuesday, November 4. There is a half-day with 11:30am pickup for all students on Thursday, November 6.

Happy Friday! Today was a fun costume dress up day here at CWS. These monthly dress up days support the 5th grade trip to Washington, DC in the spring. We had a wonderful community meeting today hosted by Elyssa and Kimberly’s class along with their reading buddies from Taylor and Caroline’s class!

A big thank you to everyone who came, enjoyed, planned, and executed the Harvest Festival last weekend, it was a big success! Thank you to the PTA and Jacqueline for their great work on making this a successful community building and fundraising event.

Next week will begin our first family conferences of the year – please be sure your student attends your conference with you. This is an opportunity to partner with your child and their teacher(s) to set goals for the school year. Teachers have been communicating with families with Bloomz to sign up for a specific conference time. To support conferences, Thursday, November 6 will be half-day with 11:30am pickup for all students with no CWS afterschool clubs on November 6. There will, however, be clubs offered on Wednesday, November 5.

We have begun offering school tours during the school day to potential new families. If you know of families who have children looking for 3k, PreK, and/or Kindergarten seats for Fall 2026, please encourage them to join us for a tour.

We have sent home additional reminders in backpacks to families who have not completed the family income inquiry (aka “lunch”) form – regardless of if your student eats lunch at school and/or your family’s income or citizenship status, we need 100% completion on these “lunch” forms. This is how the city, state, and federal governments determine funds assigned to our school. Please help CWS get the money we need for our school budget!
