Dear Families,
Reminder: There is no school next Tuesday, November 11.
Happy Friday! We had a short but memorable week. This morning we had a wonderful community meeting today hosted by Jess’s class as well as Molly and Crystal’s class. We also talked about the Ruby Bridges Walk that the school will participate in next Friday, November 14. There will also be a Cookie Walk fundraiser hosted by the PTA in the lobby next Friday morning.
I hope you will join us at 9am on Friday, November 14 as we will host our 2nd annual Ruby Bridges Walk. We will join other schools nationwide to commemorate action taken by ruby bridges in 1960. The CWS community will begin the walk from the schoolyard at 9:00am and walk to Stuyvesant Park at 17th St and 2nd Ave to hear speakers and sing. We will then walk back to school. We appreciate our families for making this happen!
It was wonderful to see so many families for in person and zoom conferences this week. If you still have not met with your child’s teacher and don’t yet have an appointment scheduled, please reach out to them to find time to meet soon.
The lost and found is overflowing! Please come to the second floor outside the hydroponics room to check for lost lunchboxes, sweaters, water bottles, jackets, and more. Unclaimed items will be donated later this month.
Upcoming Dates:
Warmly,
Maria
