Dear Families,

We finished off this week with a wonderful celebration of the Lunar New Year with a lion dance at community meeting — thanks to Bo Law Kung Fu for this wonderful performance. Thanks also to the PTA for a successful community movie night last week! Our students also engaged in many wonderful discussions this week regarding respect for all and continuing to be kind and thoughtful upstanders in their classrooms.

There is no school next week for mid-winter break, school will reopen on Monday, February 24.

Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts on CWS on the annual school survey. A form went home that you can mail in the prepaid envelope, or you can take it online. Your access code is a lowercase “f” followed by your child’s nine-digit OSIS number.

Test prep will begin the week of February 24 for students in grades 3-5 who opted in. Please look out for detailed information from your child’s teacher. For your planning purposes, 3rd grade will be on Wednesdays, 4th grade will be on Thursdays, and 5th grade will be on Tuesdays – all will be from 3:00-4:45pm.

The School Leadership Team (SLT) is looking to start a series of workshops for parents and caregivers to learn more about our school community!
