Happy Friday! This was another full and busy week for our CWS students. Thank you to all of the families who attended family conferences with their child’s teacher(s). CWS family conferences are one of the many ways that our teachers collaborate with students and their families to assess progress and set goals. If you have not yet met with your child’s teacher(s), please reach out to them to schedule a meeting.
I am excited to share that next Tuesday, March 14 we will open the CWS food pantry to all families in our school. The food pantry will be open on Tuesday from 8-9am and 2-3pm. Please see the school safety agent in the lobby for location details on Tuesday. Items available will include: bread, tortillas, peanut butter, tuna, beans, pasta, rice, and applesauce. I encourage any CWS family who would find any of these items to come visit us on Tuesday! Please bring a bag for your items.
So many of our CWS students are doing wonderful things. Some of the students from the chess afterschool club with Carl Wright competed in tournaments last weekend and did great – congratulations! Two students medaled in their competitions. Great job!
Don’t forget to spring forward on Sunday morning – clocks move ahead by one hour. As you plan your calendars, please note that Friday, March 31 is a half-day for all students with a 12pm noon pickup.
