Dear Families,

What a wonderful week we’ve had at CWS! Our fourth graders enjoyed their overnight trips to the Manhattan Country Farm upstate in Roxbury, New York where they milked cows, weaved textiles, made farm-fresh meals, and so much more. Thanks to Miriam’s class for sharing about their farm experiences and drumming with us at community meeting this morning.

Tonight rounds out a special week with Schoolapalooza from 7-10pm. It’s not too late to attend! This adults-only fundraising and community event helps support many of the programs your child enjoys in school. The event is at the Paul Taylor Studio on Grand Street. Tickets are $35 and include food; please reach out if you would like to attend but need a complimentary ticket. You can buy tickets at the door or via this link and bid on great auction items here.

The CWS Readathon runs through this Sunday, March 23 and packets are due on Monday, March 24.

Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts on CWS on the annual school survey. A form went home that you can mail in the prepaid envelope, or you can take it online between now through April 4 through this link. Your access code is a lowercase “f” followed by your child’s nine-digit OSIS number.

Upcoming Dates:

  • Friday, March 21: Schoolapalooza, adult-only evening event hosted by the PTA
  • Monday, March 24: Readathon packets due
  • Friday, March 28: Half-day – early dismissal for all students at 11:30am [Prose teacher development]

  • Friday, April 4: Last Day to complete school survey through this link  (lowercase “f” and OSIS#)
