This week our Kindergarten through fifth grade classes traveled to Barnes and Noble to support the book fair and CWS’s month-long Read-A-Thon. Through this Saturday, March 25, any books purchased at Barnes and Noble, either at a store or online, and use the code 12648531 will have a portion of the sale donated to CWS. A special thank you to parent Lauren Semmer who read from her new book To Boldly Go and PreK teachers Helen and Suma who offered readings last Sunday at Barnes and Noble.
This week our fourth graders also traveled to the Manhattan Country School Farm. On the overnight trip, students participated in all aspects of farm life including cooking, animal care, textile weaving, and more. This is a special trip and we are so grateful for the teachers and parents whose support made this trip possible!
The CWS food pantry will be open on Tuesday from 8-9am, 2-3pm, and 4:30-4:45pm for our entire school community.
Some students received a notice this week regarding their immunization records. All CWS students are required to be fully up-to-date with their immunizations in accordance with New York State law. If you received this letter, please come see Joyce in the office with a copy of your child’s current immunization records.
Tomorrow – Saturday, March 25 there are events for our new families at PS 20 located at 166 Essex Street and Houston Street. Please see attached flyers for information on these events (you may need to login to Bloomz to view these). If you need help logging into Bloomz please email cws.bloomz@gmail.com for support.
