Dear Families,

Happy Friday! The sun has been shining and it looks like we can continue to expect some great spring weather over the next week. This week our playground rubber was resurfaced, and I am happy to report the playground is now reopen, so thank you for your patience. This morning at community meeting we got to hear from some of our student poets and musicians. CWS students continue to set the bar for engagement!

I want to thank all of the families, teachers, and staff who joined us last weekend for the PTA’s fundraiser Schoolapalooza – what a fantastic night! The funds raised will directly support the programs that your child enjoys at school such as yoga, music, field trips, math, and more!

May and June are very busy months at CWS! On Friday, May 19 families can join to support our students in our second annual Fun Run. And on Saturday, May 20 from 11am-3pm the PTA will host the Arts & Science Fair at CWS. More info will be sent home next week about these exciting activities.

• Monday, May 15 – Half day, noon 12pm pickup for all students (PROSE teacher development)
• Friday, May 19 – CWS Fun Run
• Saturday, May 20 – PTA Arts & Science Fair
• Monday, May 29 – No School (Memorial Day)
• Thursday, June 8 and Friday, June 9 – No School (teacher development)
• Wednesday, June 14 – All School Picnic, more info will be sent home in June
• Friday, June 16 – Last day of afterschool clubs
• Monday, June 19 – No School (Juneteenth)
• Tuesday, June 27 – Last Day of School

As a reminder, please check the Lost and Found box in the lobby for anything your child may have lost while at school. All items not claimed by this Monday, May 8 will be donated to charity.
