Dear Families,
This was our last 5-day week of the school year, and what a full week it was! Lots of field trips, presentations, and celebrations were happening! This morning at community meeting we were treated to wonderful performances from Suma’s, Andrea’s, and Jeff’s classes as well as guitar club. Bravo!
Next Thursday, June 19 there is no school in honor of Juneteenth. On Friday, June 20 we will host our all-school Fun Run in the school yard with some classes beginning at 9am. Later that day there will be rotating field games for classes at various nearby locations – please stay tuned for specific details from your child’s teacher.
I hope you can join me, Dorothy, Suma, and Kiara tomorrow at 11am at the Barnes and Noble in Union Square for a free book reading with special guest author Steve Light. Today was the last Coffee And for the year, thank you to the PTA and all of the families who have made this special CWS tradition possible during the year. Congratulations to the PTA officers elected today: Mike Vitacco (President), Laura Grady and Keiko Hirosue-Korolev (Co-Treasurers), and Grace Chen and Lacy Telles (Co-Secretaries). And congratulations to our newly elected SLT parent representatives: Joanna Dolgin, Jacqueline Nardone, and Sarah Singer Zaborowski.
