Dear Families,
Happy Friday! This morning we were excited to come together for our last community meeting of the year. Next week there will be no community meeting since we will host a moving up ceremony for only our fifth grade students and their families.
This week was very full and fun! For the first time in many years we were able to host our all school picnic. It was wonderful to see our students playing and so many families able to join us for the day. Our 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade students had their dance performance on Tuesday. And many of our classes had their writing and year-end celebrations this week, with more classes celebrating next week.
There is no school on Monday, June 19 in honor of Juneteenth. School will reopen on Tuesday, June 20. Tuesday, June 20 is the last day of the food pantry for the school year. We will be clearing out the pantry for the summer. On Tuesday the opening hours are 8-8:45am and 2:30-3pm. *There will not be a 4:15 opening since there are no afterschool programs next week.
Today is the last day of all CWS afterschool programs and English classes. Pickup for the rest of the year will be at 2:50pm for all students.
The last day of school is Tuesday, June 27. I invite you to pickup your student early at noon 12:00pm on the last day of school, students will still be able to receive lunch. If you cannot pickup your child at noon, there will still be adult supervision available until 2:50pm for remaining students.
Congratulations to the newly elected PTA Executive Board for 2023-2024: Co Presidents: Hyunhee Fulghum and Simone Mangano; Co-VPs: Irina Shiyan and Loyi Malu; Co-Treasurers: Alexander Ochakovsky and Kyle Hepp; and Co-Secretaries: Erin McFarland and Rina Ortega. Two SLT representatives were also elected: Jacqueline Nardone and Joanna Dolgin. A special thank you to our outgoing PTA and SLT members, we are so grateful for your service!
