Dear Families,
It is only Wednesday, but with no school on Thursday, June 8 and Friday, June 9 this will be my end-of-week message.
With just 11 days of school left, we are feeling many things, joy and exhaustion among them. Teachers are communicating many important upcoming dates including some all-school activities plus some class-specific activities like writing celebrations and field trips. I know it can be overwhelming with so much information, but I ask you to please pay close attention to Bloomz for this important information.
Next week on Wednesday, June 13 we will host our dance recital at 10am, this time has changed, and the 1st/2nd and 4th graders will perform. On Wednesday, June 14 we will have the all-school picnic, and school will be open during regular hours. Friday, June 16 is the last day of all CWS afterschool clubs and the English classes.
I also want to let you know that there will be elections for three open School Leadership Team (SLT) positions during the PTA elections, which will be held in-person next Friday, June 16 at 8:30am. These positions are two-year terms, and members must commit to attending all meetings; the SLT meets in-person at 7:30am on Thursdays once per month. The SLT is an important group comprised of elected members of parents/guardians, teachers, and the school administration which help discuss the school’s goals, curriculum, and ways to support our students. All parents/guardians are invited to attend monthly SLT meetings whether they are members of the SLT or not. If you are interested in learning more about the SLT election, please reach out to current SLT co-chairs Suma or Mo.
