Happy Friday! It was another great week as the students are well into their routines and settling into their classrooms.
Please join me next week at Curriculum Night – Wednesday, September 25: The evening for adults only and will be in your child’s classroom. This will be a time to chat with your child’s teacher to learn more about their plans for the school year. Childcare for current CWS students only will be available. 3K through 2nd grade will be from 5:30-6:15pm and 3rd through 5th grade will be from 6:30-7:15pm.
This week OMNY cards (in place of Metrocards) were sent home to eligible students (students who receive busing or those living within .5 miles of the school system are not eligible). These have four swipes per day and are only for student use. They are good for the entire year, so please do not lose them as we do not have extras to offer replacement cards.
We need you to return your completed paper blue card emergency form – we cannot quickly access this information on the online portal and the teachers need to be able to reach you quickly in the event of an emergency. Please send in the filled out paper copy. Likewise, we are required to collect the housing questionnaire form from all students annually. Please send this back next week. For families who received an immunization record form in their backpack, it must be returned completed in order for your child to attend per NY regulations.
