Happy, happy Friday! Thanks to Chairin’s class for hosting our community meeting this morning and to the PTA for a wonderful Coffee And… It was also Fancy Day today as the first of our monthly dress-up days in support of the 5th grade trip. In other exciting news, field trips have begun for some of our classes. Experiential learning is a valuable part of the CWS curriculum!
As a reminder there is no school next week on Thursday, October 2.
A few caregivers have reached out with questions about the drills performed in school. In accordance with city regulations, every year we review our different drills including fire drills and lockdown drills with our students. These are presented in an age-appropriate manner and we let the students know that there is no immediate risk to their safety but that it is important. We do these with care and concern to not alarm the students. Please know that my first concern is always the safety and well-being of the students in our care. In the event of an emergency, we will contact families via Bloomz to keep you updated throughout the situation.
