Dear Families,
It was a wet but great week. Thank you to everyone who attended curriculum night on Wednesday! Teachers have posted their curriculum letters in Bloomz, and you can reach out to them with any questions.
Speaking of Bloomz, if you haven’t yet, please setup your account and download the free app. This is the only way to communicate with your child’s teachers 1:1 and how we also send out important reminders. If you need help email
cws.bloomz@gmail.com
Health and safety: It is getting to be that time of year when more students are feeling sick. As a reminder, students who have had a fever cannot return to school until they are 24 hours fever free without the use of medicine – that means someone with a fever on Tuesday morning cannot return to school until Thursday morning, assuming their fever is gone by Wednesday morning. Students showing any signs of illness should also be tested for COVID-19 before they return. If your child tests positive for COVID please notify me immediately so I can provide the most up-to-date DOE health guidance, as it changes.
Cell Phone/Smart Watch/Electronics Policy: Students may not use cell phones, smart watches, and other electronics in school. If a child needs to call their parent/guardian or the parent/guardian needs to communicate something to the child during the school day, the call must go through the office. Children may, under no circumstances, record or take pictures of classroom activities or other students. Devices that stream and/or record audio and/or video must also have this feature turned off during the school day. This rule applies to parents/guardians in the classroom as well. High value electronics should be kept at home.
As a reminder, candy, soda, and energy drinks may not be brought to and/or consumed at school. If teachers see these items out they will hold these items until a parent/guardian is able to pick them up from the teacher. Please do not send these items with your child.
Dismissal will continue to be between 2:45 and 2:50pm for students in grades 1 through 5, and between 2:40-2:45pm for 3K, PreK, and Kindergarten.
Mark your calendars – there is no school on Monday, October 9.
Enjoy your weekend!
Warmly,Maria
