It has been quite the first week of 2022. We thank every family for their continued patience as we navigate ever-changing COVID protocols to try to keep school as safe as possible. We need your help to do this.
Please regularly test your child, at least once a week, preferrably with a PCR test, even if they are not symptomatic. The LabQ van will be back in front of school next Tuesday and Thursday between 8am-4pm offering PCR and rapid tests – you can get both at the same time.
Please report any positive test results, on at-home/rapid tests or PCR tests, to me via Bloomz immediately.
If your child is showing even one symptom, such a sore throat, runny nose, mild fever, and/or new cough. Please notify me via Bloomz, keep them home, and get them a PCR test before sending them back. The DOE will accept rapid tests after symptoms begin, but if your child tests negative on the rapid please also do PCR if they are symptomatic.
Please let me know about your child’s close contact exposure, regardless of their vaccination status, by messaging me in Bloomz. This includes exposures at afterschool activities, private gatherings, and household members.
As a reminder, there are no CWS-run afterschool clubs next week from January 10-14. There will be no school/afterschool on Monday, January 17.
In non-COVID news, it was wonderful today to kick off our MLK Honoring the Dream series of community meetings! These will be recorded and posted weekly here. Today we thank Helen and Nicole’s classes for their performances viewable here.
For the students in person today, it was great to have our students out and about to play in the snow. A few photos and videos are attached and viewable in Bloomz.
