This was a short but good week! Students and teachers have been working on exciting things in math, science, writing, and social studies. I encourage you to ask your child more about what they’ve been learning during the holiday break.
There is no school on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. When we return on Monday, December 2 we will have a full week! Classes will be visiting Barnes & Noble in Union Square for the book fair, look out for more information from your child’s teacher(s). Our entire school community will participate in the World AIDS Day Walk on Friday, December 6 in place of a traditional community meeting. Families are welcome to join us on the 6th at 9am. The following week the PTA will host the Holiday Bazaar & All Day Cafe where you will be able to buy special items from local merchants – more information to come.
It’s getting cold out! Our students will still go outside to run and play in the cold, so please ensure your student dresses in layers and wears a warm coat when needed. Please label their coats, sweaters, hats, and gloves with their names! The lost & found is located in the second floor hallway right outside of the hydroponics lab. It is overflowing with lost coats, jackets, sweaters, water bottles, and more. Please come to check the lost & found area by Thanksgiving break – items not claimed will be donated to charity.
