Happy Friday! I’m pleased to share that 100% of our CWS staff and teachers are vaccinated against COVID-19 and that we’re doing our part to help keep your children safe. Despite the shortage of vaccinated staff at some schools you may hear about on the news, we will be fully staffed next week! Please keep others safe by keeping children who do not feel well at home and obtaining COVID tests.
In line with DOE requirements, beginning Monday visitors to the building (including adults and children 12+) must be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the building. You will be required to provide proof of vaccination to the school safety agent. More on the DOE building visitor policy and acceptable proofs of vaccination is on the DOE website.
If you haven’t already please submit consent for in-school COVID testing (grades 1-5) via the website or a paper form from your teacher.
Today is the last day to submit your child’s t-shirt size for their free CWS t-shirt. For those who do not submit sizes we will do our best guess when ordering a shirt for your child. Access the link in Bloomz.
I want to thank everyone for being mindful of safety during drop-off and pickup. Compliance with the streets closed to cars has meant a safer environment for our children and teachers. Thank you for supporting us during this time while continue to develop updated routines for our procedures.
As always at CWS, your child’s socio-emotional learning and mental well-being are top of mind for us. I hope you will join your child’s teacher via zoom next week for Curriculum Night. Links will be sent on Monday via Bloomz.
